(AFG-AE) AAF IN-COUNTRY TRAINING ADVISOR
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The subcontractor will provide training support in the development of an enabled and capable AAF A7, with a focus on in-country training, management, and tracking/reporting of skill levels and distribution. Objectives include:
Conduct and attend advising sessions in accordance with schedule developed by J-Lead. Subcontractor shall document AAF training sessions and provide a monthly analysis relative to CJ7 training objectives.
* Coordinate with CJ7 on the development, briefing and execution of AAF decrees and plans to define AAF in-country training policy. These policies will define the interactions, roles, responsibilities, authority limits, and processes used in the training functions.
* Instruct in development of transition plans for maintenance technician in-country training goals from present AAF training programs and out-of-country training. Coordinate these plans with CJ4M, CJ1/7 trainers, Group staffs, and AAF equivalents.
* Instruct in development of transition plans for aircrew in-country training from present state AAF training programs and out-of-country training. Coordinate these plans with CJ1/7, CJ3, Group staffs, and AAF equivalents.
* Instruct planning measures to achieve and maintain AAF manning levels in line with current and planned tashkil. Focus will be given to developing plans to achieve targeted distribution of skill levels and ratings.
* Train AAF personnel to coordinate AAF in-country training issues with the appropriate Afghan and Coalition staffs, as required. Within 30 days of beginning of PoP, subcontractor shall collaborate with the J-Lead to develop an instruction schedule. Subcontractor will document all training and assess the AAF weekly. Subcontractor shall notify the J-Lead when the AAF can demonstrate that the task can be accomplished independently. SDRL #T002. This SDRL shall be submitted in accordance with Appendix B. During periods of heightened security, subcontractor shall assist the CJ7 J-Lead with other administrative tasks as required. SDRL #T002. This SDRL shall be submitted in accordance with Appendix B. MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Army, Air Force or Maine former Senior NCO or Officer with maintenance and operational training experience.
Applicants must be able to pass CENTCOM medical, dental and other CRC-related deployment requirements at an approved CRC. Applicants must be in possession of a current/active US tourist Passport (with further eligibility to receive – if not already in possession of – a current Afghanistan visa). If candidate is already deployed, he/she must supply appropriate documentation satisfying these requirements along with confirmation that he/she is in physical possession of government-issued PPE to demonstrate compliance with CENTCOM deployment requirements.
Willing to work and live in Afghanistan and understand they can be further assigned to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government
Willingness to work in hostile areas without a weapon
Willingness to deploy and live on forward operating bases without regular U.S. Post/Base Exchange and Commissary facilities
Previous experience training foreign military soldiers.
Deployed operational experience in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Former Aviation Maintenance expert with Afghan Operational/Training experience.
