AIRCRAFT SERVICER

Contingent Upon Contract Award


Transient Alert/Aircraft Servicer at specific locations within the Southwest Asia region; Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar; Al Dhafra AB, United Arab Emirates; Ali Al Salem AB, Kuwait; Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan; Muwaffaq Salti AB, Jordan; and Al Jaber AB, Kuwait. Must be experienced in performing aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, and maintaining aircraft structures, systems, components, servicing, ground handling, and the use and maintenance of test and support equipment, the proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste and materials and knowledgeable of hydraulic principles, concepts and application of maintenance directives, maintenance data reporting, and Technical Order (TO) use. Applicant must be qualified to perform the following:


Specific Duties:
Perform aircraft “Marshalling,” “Arrival,” “Processing,” and “Departure” Services–prepare AF Form 861 for all arriving transient aircraft

Perform and document aircraft special requirements such as: Distinguished Visitor (DV), types of cargo/hazardous cargo, maintenance status, passenger off-load, refueling, LOX, JOAP, RON requirements, maintenance, tow, parking location, etc

Perform pavement FOD inspection of runway, taxiway, aircraft movement areas, and aircraft parking spots prior to transient aircraft operations–ensure all FOD is removed prior to aircraft movement

Pre-position powered and non-powered AGE support equipment, fire extinguishers, chocks, stair case vehicles, ladders, boarding ramps, ground wires–pre-position prior to arrival/departure; and return to appropriate staging areas after each use

Perform overall aircraft visual safety inspections; check for hot-brakes–conduct aircraft pre-start, pre-taxi, in-let, in-take, and exhaust inspections of airframe and components; check for and identify fluid leaks, damage, or safety of flight discrepancies using applicable technical orders and checklist disciplines

Service aircraft (refueling operations), check and service engine oil; extract oil samples using Joint Oil Analysis Program (JOAP) and correctly process DD Form 2026, Oil Analysis Request.

Check and service hydraulics systems

Perform minor and pre-emptive aircraft maintenance–verify and clear “Red-X” Discrepancies prior to flight

Prepare AFTO Form 781 Series for each transient aircraft or AGE equipment that maintenance activities was performed

Perform end-of-runway (EOR) inspections

Check aircraft grounding points for serviceability; manufacture ground wires for static grounding of aircraft as necessary

Transport aircrew member to and from aircraft

Notify Base Operations (AMOPS) dispatcher when aircraft is ready for the aircrew

Brief aircrew commander using AF Form 726 of aircraft status and services requirements; provide bird strike worksheets and/or aircraft mishap/incident worksheets as required

Respond to aircraft emergency (IFE/ground) notifications; provide crash recovery support

Maintain Technical Order (TOs) Library and Work Cards

Maintain government provided facilities in a neat, clean, and sanitary appearance at all time

Maintain custodial equipment accountability file

Comply with AF Tool Control and FOD Programs. Ensure tool and rag accountability after each use; immediately report lost/drop tools

Qualified to operate, service, and perform operator maintenance on: tow/tug vehicles/tractors (MB-2, MB-4, U-30), Aerospace Ground Support (AGE)/ground powered units (MD-3, D-60, D-86, D-95), generators, air compressors, air conditioners, portable light-alls, lavatory vehicles, passenger stair trucks, Airfield Sweeper Units, and tow-bars to support base-assigned and transient fixed-wing and commercial aircraft operations


Qualifications


Formal Training and License/Certification Requirements (Mandatory)


FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and 6-years supervisory experience.


Must have current Secret level Security Clearance.
