(AFG-Kabul) AFGHAN NATIONAL ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND SENIOR DIVISION ENGINEER STAFF TRAINER MENTOR ADVISOR

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Responsible for Training/Mentoring/Advising the ANASOC Division Engineer and his staff section on all aspects of Engineer Operations and planning to include Mobility, Counter Mobility, Survivability and General Engineering.

The contractor will Advise and Assists the staff with preparation of planning products to include the Engineer Annex, Engineer Estimate and Modified Combined Obstacle Overlay (MCOO). The contractor will Advise and assist the Division Engineer section on a daily basis in the following tasks:

-The Issuance of timely instructions and orders to subordinate engineer units to ensure integration of engineer functions that support the maneuver commander’s intent, and the synchronization of engineer mission support to the scheme of maneuver.

-The control of all engineer operations within the Division as necessary to ensure responsive, effective, and cohesive support.

-Tracking of engineer efforts throughout the division, keeping the Division Commander and Staff informed of changes to the battle space.

-Use of engineer C2 organizations to hear, see, and understand all engineer battlefield missions within the division.

-Identifying specific missions to engineer units through DIV ENG unit orders.

-Assists the DIV ENG to facilitate subordinate planning, preparation, and integration.

-Assessing unit performance, anticipating changes, and issuing the necessary FRAGOs directly to the engineer unit.

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:

-Minimum Tangible Requirements-12B /21B

-Must Be a Prior Combat Engineer Officer (03-05) or Senior NCO (E8/E9) with experience in Battalion, Brigade or Division level staff positions (S2/S3) in the last ten years,and have performed duties as an engineer during deployment for either OIF/OEF

-Must have graduated from a US Military Battle Staff or equivalent staff officers course.

-Must have Min 5 years’ experience working with ANSF C-IED and/or Combat Engineer soldiers and units.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-One year experience working with or supporting special operations units.
