AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. Job Summary


AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a SAMS Clerk in Afghanistan on the MOSC-A contract. Generates picking tickets, DA Form 3161 and other accountability documentation, as directed. When assigned to report teams, generates standard and ad hoc reports. Processes data entry and transmits data to appropriate site. Edits and performs quality assurance and quality control checks during the input of data from source documents. Assists in quality control edits by retrieving reports for the data collectors. Organizes all completed source documents and attachments to filing site. Develops weekly transaction reports along with weekly form counts and prepares forms to be mailed to Supervisor or Manager. Performs routine work including work from various standardized source documents which have been coded (requires little or no selecting). Codes and interprets data to be entered. Must be able to perform edits based on FEDLOG codes and classes of supply. Readiness activities include documentation, records management, reporting and record reconciliation. Will identify system issues and report to management when they occur. US EXPATS may be required to gain access to LIW for parts and document research. Provides logistical support to other operational and support elements as required. Provides analysis, technical assistance, by researching repair part availability and expedition as required. May be required to provide training to other SAMS clerks as directed. Edits all received supply transactions and posts into SAMS, IAW EUM. Capable of looking up process and procedures from Army Regulations and EUM. Duties may include turning-in repair parts IAW SOP/WI’s, entering data in SAMS and may tag and turn-in parts. Conducts and participates in scheduled and unscheduled inventories and surveys. Performs PMCS of equipment assigned to department. Will be required to be licensed on department’s MHE and other equipment. Coordinates with supporting SSAs for requisitioning and turn in action. Maintains listing and accountability of recoverable assets for input to bi-monthly Recoverable Items Listing. Performs document register reconciliations and submits daily supply activities requisitioning cost expenditures. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational and operational objectives.


Minimum Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.




  • 1-3 years SAMS-E experience required.




  • External SAMS-E certification required.




  • Must have active NACI.




  • Must have strong organizational and planning skills.




  • Must be able to research and multi-task.




  • Must be able to pass General Trade Skill PQS within 30 days of hire.




  • Must have good knowledge in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applications.




  • Must have knowledgeable in Direct Support maintenance process.




  • Must know the difference between ORG and DS SAMS-1E and WO process.




  • Must be knowledgeable of all system reports and knows how to correct discrepancies.




  • Must have keen attention to detail.




  • Must be able to be licensed on 4-10K forklifts and 2.5T and below vehicles within 6 months of hire.




  • Must be able to function with an advanced level of English oral and written language skills, through demonstrated proficiency, testing or both.



Preferred Qualifications


  • US Army MOS 92A or 92Y preferred.
