Senior Structural Engineer - Coffman Engineers, Inc. - Los Angeles, CA
The Position
Senior Structural Engineer: We are looking for a creative individual who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive, multidiscipline firm. The successful individual will be a structural engineer with at least ten years of experience in the design of steel, concrete, wood and masonry commercial/institutional buildings.
Eligibility Requirements:
· Registrations as a Structural Engineer (S.E.) (required)
· B.S. degree in civil engineering (required)
· M.S. degree in civil or structural engineering (preferred)
· Able to work independently and supervise the efforts of a small team
· Able to manage projects profitably
· Able to maintain a working relationship with clients
· Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills
In this role you will:
· Do structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & industrial projects
· Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high quality set of structural drawings
· Work closely with designers, drafters, modelers, and other in-house engineers to execute structural designs
· Meet with the project team to ensure good communication flow during design
· Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications
