SharePoint Site Collection Administrator - Data Systems Analysts, Inc. - Fairfax, VA
DSA is looking for a SharePoint Site Collection Administrator to support our IT Department.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Sets up and manages alerts to monitor activity on business critical information; establishes and governance rules if none exist, or adheres to corporate rules.
Coordinates monthly SharePoint User Group meetings and conveys information to the team; manages intranet site and reviews periodically; compiles monthly reports on usage and progress of site collection; establishes and maintains a community of practice for site owners and users in the site collection.
Analyzes current business requirements and maps to SharePoint; identifies new areas on an ongoing basis where SharePoint can be leveraged; assists users in leveraging features and acts as a liaison with IT Department and communicates back to operations; consults with management team to improve integration; and analyzes file shares for migration to SharePoint.
Manages permissions restricts and revokes access as required; creates, leverages and manages content types, site columns, lookups and templates for re-use in site; determines and creates scalable structure for unit sites; ensures uniform navigation throughout sites; provides guidance to business units on structure of their sites; manages search scopes and best bets with input from operational units; creates/manages out of box workflows to automate processes; creates project and document dashboards.
Constantly revisits and reviews content to ensure business relevance; customizes and maintains landing page to encourage traffic and user adoption; monitors site usage and follow up on dormancy on a monthly basis; monitors for complexity and suggests streamlined alternatives; monitors to ensure workflow and tasks are working correctly and emails are going out; conducts ongoing research to determine what SharePoint can do; functions a liaison with IT Department regarding the migration of sites when necessary.
Encourages user adoption and embeds a sense of excitement in all regarding SharePoint; acts as first line of day to day support for users and other site owners; trains end users in team on basic functionality; trains end users on basic functionality; directs users to available training materials and resources; identifies training gaps and escalates if necessary; demonstrates technology to users; identifies errors, investigates and resolves (escalates to IT if required); edits and customizes pages using SharePoint Designer; assists users in setting up my sites.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Top Secret Clearance or ability to be cleared to the TS level with SSBI/SCI Eligibility
3 years experience in IT / Help Desk Role
AA or BS Degree in Computer related discipline
SharePoint certification and technical certifications desired
