Visiting Assistant Professor, Clinical Psychology - University of Central Florida - Orlando, FL

UCF RESTORES (University of Central Florida Research and Treatment on Response to Extreme Stressors) has an immediate opening for a 12-month, non-tenure earning, visiting clinical assistant professor. Duties will include supervision of graduate students; licensure as a psychologist is necessary. The post traumatic stress disorder ( PTSD ) clinic at UCF RESTORES provides empirically-supported cognitive behavior therapy ( CBT ) to veterans, first responders and civilians who have been affected by trauma. The position will include direct service as well as administrative and supervisory tasks. The successful candidate should have experience providing evidence based treatments (e.g., exposure therapy, cognitive processing therapy) for all types of trauma, in both individual and group modalities. In addition, the applicant will participate in the final stages of a Department of Defense funded research program to treat veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts who are suffering from PTSD , including conducting treatment sessions, follow-up assessments, data analysis and manuscript preparation. Additionally, the clinical assistant professor will provide clinical supervision of doctoral students as well as supervision of undergraduate research assistants.

Position Minimum Qualifications


Applicants for the position must have completed a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an accredited institution and a clinical internship, both from APA -accredited programs. Candidates must be licensed in Florida or license eligible.
