(AFG-KANDAHAR) General Labor Foreman
Job*Summary*
The General Labor Foreman, in Operations and Maintenance, reports to the Sr. Trades Supervisor.
Principal Accountabilities
- Supervises and provides guidance and leadership to all Labor Foremen and the Labor Shop
- Coordinates all support to all O&M; and/or Construction Crafts and support shops
- Coordinates all roads and grounds maintenance on base camps
- Responsible for the Safety Training and Compliance for his Crews
- Maintains the short range look a head plan for the labor shop
- Reviews and monitors cost and man-hour budget of the labor shop
- Develops an equipment and tool requirement plan
- Provides leadership to the Labor Foremen and Crews
- Creates organizational processes and procedures
- Advises the Labor Foremen of statues issues, impacts, risk factors and cost factors
- Reviews and monitors cost and man hour budgets
- Coordinates labor support to all Crafts and insures Craft Supervisors are informed of progress and issues
Knowledge & Skills
- Must be flexible
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Detailed Oriented with Organizational Skills
- Computer Literate
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Typically, a minimum of Five (5) years of relevant experience is required
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
- Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
Travel
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
