(AFG-KANDAHAR) General Labor Foreman

Job*Summary*

The General Labor Foreman, in Operations and Maintenance, reports to the Sr. Trades Supervisor.

Principal Accountabilities

• Supervises and provides guidance and leadership to all Labor Foremen and the Labor Shop


• Coordinates all support to all O&M; and/or Construction Crafts and support shops


• Coordinates all roads and grounds maintenance on base camps


• Responsible for the Safety Training and Compliance for his Crews


• Maintains the short range look a head plan for the labor shop


• Reviews and monitors cost and man-hour budget of the labor shop


• Develops an equipment and tool requirement plan


• Provides leadership to the Labor Foremen and Crews


• Creates organizational processes and procedures


• Advises the Labor Foremen of statues issues, impacts, risk factors and cost factors


• Reviews and monitors cost and man hour budgets


• Coordinates labor support to all Crafts and insures Craft Supervisors are informed of progress and issues

Knowledge & Skills

• Must be flexible


• Possess excellent communication skills


• Detailed Oriented with Organizational Skills


• Computer Literate

Experience & Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Typically, a minimum of Five (5) years of relevant experience is required

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable


• Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions


• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions

Travel

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
