(AFG-KANDAHAR) Work Control Specialist
Job Summary
The Work Control Specialist is responsible for gathering, analyzing, preparing, and submitting data necessary to develop and maintain the Master Schedule of Work (MSOW) that documents work performed on facilities and equipment. Maintains historical and maintenance data records.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
- Ensure timely and accurate facilities and equipment preventive maintenance performance dates are added to the MSOW
- Work with Service Desk to ensure preventive maintenance schedule and service order requests are properly created, updated, closed, and reported
- Administer the work authorization process
- Monitor daily operations to identify and resolve issues and track MSOW performance metrics
- Schedule and conduct MSOW audits to ensure accuracy of reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with good judgment, initiative, and ability to analyze and solve problems
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment
Experience & Education
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a work control center or customer service center
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prefer experience in Operations and Maintenance (O&M;) facility management or construction office
- Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
- Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
Travel
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
