What we offer:
The Afghanistan Project Internship for Sesame Workshop’s Global Social Impact Department involves working with the production and education team, supporting our international coproducers, and communicating with various departments within the company through various stages of production and pre-production.
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited to:
Support script reviews/rough cut reviews of TV and radio programs
Participate in meetings, conference calls and/or online trainings relevant to content development and review for the TV and Radio series
Assist with note taking during the team review meetings and preparation for meetings and workshops
Support communication with the local teams by compiling notes, providing feedback, participating in calls, etc.
Production Support
Review, Tag, & Log Deliverables
Prepare storage and archives
Document information to calculate residuals
Manage digital media
Make dubs and provide content, as requested
Research products and media landscapes in Afghanistan
If possible; help with script translations
Review and write show evaluations
Assist with special projects as needed
Provide administrative support to project team if needed
Basic Requirements:
- Must be CURRENTLY matriculated and pursuing a degree
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States. Schedule: 2 to 3 days/wk
Desired Skills:
Strong interest in children’s media and education
Dari/Pashto, German or Dutch Language Skills are a plus
Television/film/game production, or communication background desired
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must thrive in a collaborative environment
Proficient in Microsoft office; Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word.
Strong social media skills
