IED & Insurgent Network Analyst - Senior - Celestar Corporation - Charlottesville, VA

OVERVIEW


This effort focuses on providing the United States Army National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and United States Force-Afghanistan (USFOR-A) and other United States forces and agencies with counter insurgency network analysis and targeting, counter improvised explosive device (IED) targeting and related intelligence and operational support.


The NGIC Counter Insurgency Targeting Program, in collaboration with US Government and Allied partners, provides all-source target and technical intelligence, utilizing CONUS and OCONUS-based analysts, to support lethal and non-lethal operations, interrogation and prosecution countering, insurgent networks and systems rooted in Afghanistan.


This Position is Rotational – You can expect to deploy for four (4) to six (6) months then return to Charlottesville, VA for 1 year. At a minimum you will be in Charlottesville for at least 60 days before deploying.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Work as a member of a government-contractor team supporting the Counter-IED Targeting Program (CITP)


Provide analytical support to the Counter-IED Targeting Program (CITP)


Conduct comprehensive research on complex insurgent and terrorist networks, working independently or as part of a larger analytical effort


Assist the Team Leader and Senior Principal Analyst (SPA) in developing analytical strategies


Produce CITP related assessments and target support packages in collaboration with analysts involved in the counter insurgency/counter IED mission


Conduct and coordinate comprehensive research of multiple analytical assessments within the assigned geographic area


Integrate IED TECHINT and biometric forensics with traditional all source analysis to identify IED networks


Ensure the integrity of databases and the modification of data files to develop responses to all source taskings


Prioritize and deconflict assignments to ensure the timely delivery of intelligence support products


Assess the progress of research projects and advise the Team Leader on redirecting efforts


Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members on all aspects of work. Identify resource requirements and shortfalls to supervisor


Review projects for compliance with tasking and security policies


Coordinate with CITP action officers in the planning, preparation, coordination, and dissemination phases of scheduled targeting and intelligence survey packages


Provide expert all-source research, analysis, and intelligence analytical products


Track all tasks and ad hoc products to completion and provide quality control on all products prior to delivery


REQUIREMENTS


Active Top Secret Level Clearance w/ SCI Access


All-Source Analyst or SIGINT Analyst with Extensive Geospatial Tools usage (ArcView, ArcGIS, NSA proprietary tools)


Must have between 8 – 10 years’ experience in the Intelligence field at the tactical or strategic level


This position requires former military occupational speciality (MOS) 31D, 311D, 35F, 35N, 350F, 35D, 18F, 180A, Marine MOS 0231/41/07or DoD joint service equivalent and a high school diploma or GED


Six months of experience related to IED insurgency developing all-source intelligence assessments


Prior experience supporting the targeting process


Required working knowledge of the national, operational and tactical intelligence infrastructure available to DoD


Must be proficient in the use of computer tools common to the intelligence community such as; Pathfinder, M3, Analyst Notebook and others


Must have a demonstrated proficiency using basic computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development; possess strong research and writing skills; and be capable of effectively operating alone in support of tactical, strategic and special operations forces conducting counter insurgent/IED targeting


Must possess a current U.S. Passport


Position requires OCONUS deployment as a member of an analytical team
