(AFG-KANDAHAR) Billeting Supervisor
Job Summary
The Billeting Supervisor is responsible for supervising the maintenance and upkeep of living quarters at one or more Life Support Areas (LSAs), ensuring courteous customer service and adherence to standards.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
- Supervise personnel and activities to maintain temporary or permanent living quarters at LSAs for client and other civilian contractors
- Schedule and monitor work to ensure proper maintenance and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports on vacancy/occupancy rates and verify the database stays updated
- Provide professional and friendly customer service, receive customer requests, notify service order desk regarding issues, escort maintenance or other personnel to applicable locations, and ensure prompt responses and resolution
- Verify that proper supplies are accounted for and maintained
- Conduct regular customer surveys to obtain feedback on customer satisfaction and quality of services
- Maintain knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures, and provide training to develop staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to correctly interpret documents, understand customer requests, write routine correspondence, etc.
- Effective organizing, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to multi-task and deal with a variety of issues in a courteous, professional manner
- Working knowledge of principles and processes for providing effective customer service
- Basic understanding of military customs and courtesies to interact effectively with customers
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment
Experience & Education
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a customer service related field with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prefer Associate’s Degree in hospitality or similar field
- Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
- Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
Travel
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Must have ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance at proper level
