JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinate the day-to-day operation of all aspects of logistics (i.e., distribution, inventory control, fulfillment, etc.). May conducts inventory audits in order to monitor production and plant inventory levels. Arrange warehousing and transportation of product to customer. May investigate and respond to inquiries regarding distribution and shipping. May review order forms for proper coding, quantities requested, and authorized approvals; prepare purchase orders; verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders; maintain records of materials in inventory and on order; and update information on the system to maintain records. Implement logistics plans that affect the production, distribution, and inventory materials in order to enhance product flow. Support the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. May conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory and analyze requirements in order to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates. Maintain appropriate records and prepares reports. Coordinate logistics activities with internal/external customers.


KNOWLEDGE:

Considerable knowledge of the job. Complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.


MIN EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience. Certification in assigned area may be required.
