Description
Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking an Aircraft Production Superintendent at our Afghanistan location. The
candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Direct overall maintenance efforts, enforce strict adherence to technical data and management procedures
- Ensure aircraft status is accurately reflected in both the maintenance forms and the Maintenance Information System (MIS)
- Provide daily data entry into the customer furnished metrics tool, and
- Determine the mission capability status for both the platform and payload
In addition, the aircraft production superintendent will augment the existing Shift Lead and remainder of aircraft maintenance team in all aspects to include
- Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems. Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions
- Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems
in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations
- Maintains FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms
- Responsible for the management and execution of all maintenance on assigned E-11 aircraft
- Execute line-maintenance/flight operations support for 4 x BACN E-11A overseas deployed aircraft including all electrical
& mechanical troubleshooting, fault isolation & repair, parts replacement, line repairable unit (LRU) replacement,
calibration tasks, testing, engine repairs and/or replacements & proper documentation in aircraft forms (Air Force Form 781 series)
- Conduct maintenance of aircraft in line with USAF ground maintenance procedures & in compliance with associated airworthiness approvals
- Conduct Tier 2 maintenance (in depth maintenance, repairs, etc.) & Tier 3 maintenance (modifications & depot level or major maintenance) at operational OCONUS site(s)
- Conduct progressive maintenance & inspections on aircraft at remote OCONUS locations to minimize aircraft downtime for longer term maintenance requirements
- Service aircraft, perform end-of-runway, postflight, preflight, thru-flight, & phase inspections
- Advise on problems maintaining, servicing, & inspecting aircraft & related aerospace equipment
- Use technical data to diagnose & solve maintenance problems on aircraft systems
- Interpret & advise on maintenance procedures & policies to repair aircraft & related equipment
- Troubleshoot & maintain aircraft structures, systems, components, & related equipment
- Remove & install aircraft components conducting functional tests of repaired components & systems
- Adjust, align & rig aircraft systems
- Supervise & perform aircraft jacking, lifting & towing operations
- Inspect aircraft structures, systems, components & related systems
- Supervise & perform aircraft & component inspections
- Interpret inspection findings & determines adequacy of corrective actions
- Inspect & check components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation & operation
- Inspect & operate powered & non-powered aerospace ground equipment
- Inspect & identify aircraft corrosion for prevention & repair
- Review maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems & historical reports to ensure complete documentation
- Inventory & maintain aircraft equipment
- Accomplish maintenance and troubleshooting of ground support equipment
- Assist other aircraft leads and functional team members with any associated aircraft maintenance actions and other
duties as assigned by the Site Maintenance Manager as necessary to ensure mission success
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree with 2 years of experience. 4 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Airframe and Powerplant License
- Current US Passport
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain a JP Morgan Visa credit card
- Ability to pass a pre-deployment physical and then once hired, a yearly physical
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 or more years BD-700 Global Express or USAF E-11A aircraft experience
- USAF Production Superintendent (Pro Super) experience
- Current DoD SECRET Clearance with at least one year from expiring
- Business or Regional Jet experience a plus (CRJ, G-5, G-4, Challenger, Falcon, etc.)
- 5+ years Aircraft Maintenance operations experience in business and/or airline aircraft industry
- Special Mission aircraft experience
- DoD/civilian maintenance program experience
- Corridor and CAMP Aviation Maintenance Program software experience
- Civilian/military Customer Response Center/Cell experience
- Previous experience in FAR Part 135/145 or MRO environment preferred
- Proficient in computer operations and Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access)
