Technical Service Engr Stf - Lockheed Martin - Fairfax, VA
Position is located in Afghanistan: Technical Service Engineer is responsible for providing PED support in support of ISR operations and collection. Shall be familiar with all sensor systems, to include EO/IR Full Motion Video, Vehicle and Dismount Exploitation Radar (VaDER), PENNENT RACE (PR), Big Iron (BI), and all related mission systems, for example: tactical radios, data links. Shall support operating, upgrading, maintaining, and demobilization of PED locations during and post OCONUS operations and be capable of operating analysis equipment and analyzing intelligence gathered from prototype and operational systems. Must be able to exploit collected data into intelligence products suitable for electronic transmission over Government networks such as SIPRNet and NSANet. Coordinate with the Government to analyze, engineer, install and implement the required communications architecture necessary for each PED site CONUS and OCONUS and associated infrastructure. Shall maintain PED infrastructure. Maintains a configuration management plan that maintains consistency of systems performance, functional and physical requirements, design and operational information
“Sample Description of Work Performed: Works independently under general guidelines or objectives. Possesses advanced technical and managerial skills; fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of a program or functional area. Applicable functional areas include systems engineering, network engineering, acquisition management, business process reengineering, specialty engineering (e.g., communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, human factors, reliability and maintainability, systems security etc.), organizational planning, financial management, acquisition logistics, configuration and data information systems, and support or program management. Manages a single systems acquisition program/project or major functional area. Fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the program or programs under his/her management. Establishes objectives and requirements. Develops budgets. Develops program/project standards and schedules. Monitors outside resources. Has experience or extensive knowledge with the processes and procedures relative to the functional area. Coordinates, reviews and supervises work of assigned staff. Reviews/oversees the preparation of all related documentation. Conducts program reviews, meetings, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Education Level: High School
Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years
Clearance required prior to deployment and within 30 days of start date.
Valid passport for at least 3 years.
Ability to read, write and speak English
Familiarly with basic computer skills
Must be able to meet CENTCOM CRC medical minimum standards
Must be able to meet deployment training minimum standards
Must be able to work with customers and subcontractors in a professional manner
