Key Role:

Support an intensive training program designed to build in-depth Afghanistan regional expertise in areas of culture, governance, economic and social development, and security. Design a program for DoD, IC and other government staff and contractors deploying to the US Forces Afghanistan (USFOR-A) Area of Operations (AO) or working on issues related to the AFPAK AOR. Teach subjects, including general topics, such as history, geography, culture and tribes, governance and politics, economy, Islam, regional insurgencies, and the general military operational environment. Maintain responsibility for teaching assigned modules as part of an integrated curriculum facilitated by a team of SMEs with extensive military, intelligence, and native Afghanistan expertise. Participate in the design, creation, and instruction of new courses.

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with intelligence

-Experience as prior military or intelligence community, including recent deployment to Afghanistan

-Experience with Microsoft Office applications and internet resources

-Knowledge of all aspects of Afghan culture, governance, history and current events

-Knowledge of South Asian regional issues, including the impact of India, China, and Iran on Afghan and Pakistani security and governance

-Ability to research and synthesize large Afghanistan-related data sets into cohesive training modules and communicate the key information in an effective manner

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as an instructor or facilitator in a DoD environment

-Knowledge of the instructional systems design process

-Ability to provide intelligence support to combat operations

-BA or BS degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
