Job Description Under direct supervision, reviews schedules and related information and confers with others to determine requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material. Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates, according to priorities and material availability. Examines material delivered to verify conformance to specifications. Arranges transfer of materials to meet schedules. Computes amount of material required to complete jobs. Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process reports, and status and location of materials. May move or transport materials. May arrange for repair and assembly of materials and/or parts. Additional duties as assigned.
May supervise a team of subcontractors and/or labor broker personnel, in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
This Job Description represents a summary of the generic job duties and qualifications for this position and shall not be construed as a complete listing of all tasks, as other duties may be assigned. Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).
Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.

Basic Job Requirements Associate’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and 6 years directly related experience is required.
Other Job Requirements Demonstrates a working knowledge and practical application of daily Material Management activities required in support of Task Order schedules and milestones. Working experience and practical application of the Procurement Matman Purchasing Modules utilized in the daily performance of duties. Maintain the ability to learn and progress in the appropriate and compliant methodology of maintaining current and accurate data, electronically, in the Matman Modules. The experience should be primarily in the area of Materials. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent computer literacy and skills in MS Office Suite required. Knowledge of the Supply Chain Process.
Preferred Qualifications Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
