(AFG-KANDAHAR) Billeting Lead
Job Summary
The Billeting Lead helps to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the Billeting operations for assigned program.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
- Oversees temporary or permanent living quarters for client and other civilian contractors.
- Conducts regular customer needs assessments including but not limited to meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Develops and implements billeting operations at various sites to maximize customer service and value to the customer.
- Coordinates activities to oversee proper maintenance, safety and cleanliness standards are followed.
- Responsible for maintaining vacancy/occupancy rates.
- Escorts and directs subcontractor employees.
- Ensures the proper inventory of supplies for living quarters and cleaning are maintained.
- Works with operations to ensure service orders for living quarters are completed in a timely manner.
- Works customer service desk providing friendly, professional service to the customer.
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of all relevant safety standards related to area of billeting operations.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote cost effective billeting arrangements for both the customer and the internal client.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of PC-based business applications, including billet management programs or hotel management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.
Experience & Education
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
- Four (4) years of experience coordinating billeting operations. Military experience preferred.
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
Travel
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
