Description
Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking an Ground Support Equipment Technician for our Afghanistan location. The candidate will be responsible for the following:
Conduct all ground support equipment (GSE) support for four (4) forward deployed Bombardier BD-700 Global Express (USAF E-11A) aircraft in overseas location
Conduct progressive maintenance & inspections on ground support equipment at remote OCONUS locations providing a maximum amount of GSE to the flightline and minimize aircraft downtime
Execute maintenance/upkeep, inventory, trouble shooting of all deployed GSE to include Ground Power Units, special purpose vehicles, aircraft stands, scissor/general lifts, aircraft jacks/tail stands, hydraulic servicing, generators, and other assigned equipment
Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various ground support equipment systems in accordance with technical specifications and or engineering instructions
Conduct calibrations on aircraft jacks and other assigned GSE as necessary to meet mission requirements
Conduct diagnosis of malfunctions, including all electrical & mechanical troubleshooting, fault isolation & repair, parts replacement, line repairable unit (LRU) replacement, calibration tasks, testing, engine repairs and/or replacements & proper documentation
Use technical data to diagnose & solve maintenance problems on GSE, coordinating with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) when necessary to ensure fully operational equipment
Maintain status of inspections and maintenance in CORRIDOR database inventory tool

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma
10+ years Ground Support Equipment experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Current U.S. Passport
Active U.S. Secret Security clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Working experience in CORRIDOR inventory database operations
