POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Operations
is responsible to the Program Manager (PM) for the day to day operational execution of all
business functions to include contracting, finance operations, information technology and human resources. Has responsibility for overall problem resolution, planning, execution, and leadership of
business
functions. He/she must demonstrate exemplary management and leadership capabilites, especially in the areas of collaboration, team building, talent development, fiscal and human resources management, and process improvement. The -Business Manager respects and responds to the NASA customer; leads the Vectrus
team to the highest level of execution of the Performance Work Statement (PWS); and insures the alignment of
pogram . He/she overees – recruiting, personnel records, benefits management, mobilization, demobilization, promotions, disciplinary actions and terminations; finance- payroll, invoicing, cost reporting, meeting cost accounting standards and Sarbanes Oxley requirements; Contract Management- contract administration, pricing, negotiation, and protecting the rights of the company and compliance with contract terms and Federal Acquisition Regulations. On behalf of the PM,
interfaces directly with prime contractor leadership at all levels in Afghanistan or other locations for mission accomplishment and problem resolution.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

1.
Responds to PM direction to ensure all briefings and presentations to the customer monthly reports, and
partnering sessions needs. Works in collaboration with senior staff, the prime contractor and others to successfully execute efforts under the contract.
2.
Provides leadership, consultation, and mentoring to Human Resource, Finance, Contracting, Operations, and senior staff, creates development opportunities for senior leaders and their staff, and fosters a culture of coninuous teaming throughout the organization.
3.
Ensures that organizational goals are in alignment with Vectrus corporate vision and values, ethics, compliance objectives and that the Customer is central to everything done on the program.
4.
Promotes Lean and Six Sigma project implementation. Oversees all greenbelt projects to completion.
5.
Support the management of financial matters, including authorization for the purchase requests, requisitions, salary adjustments, travel and equipment lease in accordance with Vectrus s policy.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications
:
One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Bachelor’s Degre in Business Administration, Management, Project Management or equivalent knowledge and experience. PMP Certification desired.
Experience
:
Ten
years’sof directly related business experience. Prior Leadership in U.S. federal govenrment
facility management/infrastructure project most desirable. Excellent computer, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
