Responsibility
The Aerosonde Standardization Officer will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the SMEUAS Aerosonde Standardization Program. The function of this program is to develop and provide usable data to determine if the Aerosonde Program’s processes, standards, and practices meet and/or exceed the expectations of its customers with regard to the services that are provided by Field Service Representatives (FSR) on a daily basis. The program will utilize this data to constantly improve FSR performance, training, system manuals and procedures, and the overall safety and reliability of operations.
Specific Duties
- Oversight of the Aerosonde Aircrew Training Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, Initial Qualification Training products, Delta Training products, and Pre-Deployment Exercise products.
- Setting consistent standards for Aerosonde Crewmember performance
- Monitoring and measuring Aerosonde Crewmember performance through evaluations, support and compliance visits to operational sites, and reviews of manuals and procedures.
- Consult with and obtain input from the appropriate parties in the pursuit of improving the practices and procedures used within Aerosonde programs.
- Interact, coordinate and collaborate with multiple internal entities in order to accomplish the objective of the program. This will include MEUAS, ISR Services, and other Program Managers, the Business Operations Director, Aerosonde Training Manager, investigations and helpdesk personnel, engineering, operational Site Leads, ISC, publications, and others.
- Travel to CONUS and OCONUS operational sites locations such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and others as well as travelling domestically to conduct site support and compliance visits.
Qualifications

- Experience in deployed UAV operations as an operator or maintainer on Aerosonde platform.
- Knowledge and understanding of SMEUAS Aerosonde products and training activities
- Knowledge and understanding of internal SMEUAS processes and procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable military and commercial processes and standards
- Leadership and team building skills
- Ability to lead and accomplish goal oriented activities through of a diverse work force
- Ability to plan, organize, and schedule
- Ability to work independently
- Effective written and oral communication skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (may substitute prior military and/or UAV operations experience)
