Passenger Services Coordinator
PAE is currently seeking a Passenger Services Coordinatorto directly support the Department of State (DOS) General Services Office (GSO) and Embassy Air Operations, and will report to PAE Project Management.
The Passenger Services Coordinator will:
- Be responsible for the operations of the Passenger Terminal in support of flight operations that will transport passengers to and from their assigned duty locations in the area of responsibility.
- Coordinate, manage and assist Embassy Kabul passengers transiting through Camp Alvarado on their way to or from the commercial airport and/or passengers utilizing Embassy Air shuttle services as part of transportation to and from the commercial airport for all forms of travel (TDY, R&R, RRB, MEDEVAC, etc.). This does not include assisting with or handling passenger baggage.
- Receive daily GSO passenger movement manifests and all updates relating to the manifests and track and verify passengers arriving and departing Camp Alvarado and their associated movements by both ground and air transportation and report these movements to the necessary parties.
- (For Ground Movements) Work with the GSO Dispatcher stationed at Camp Alvarado to ensure that passengers being transported to the commercial airport are accounted for and are where they need to be to meet published schedules and vice a versa, that all passengers who are collected at the commercial airport by a GSO expeditor and transported back to Camp Alvarado are accounted for.
- (For Embassy Air Shuttle Movements) Work with the GSO Dispatcher and Embassy Air personnel to direct passengers arriving at Camp Alvarado to the Arrivals Terminal, DFAC, Bunkhouse, and any location, as required.
- Brief passengers on the layout of Camp Alvarado, required procedures, and use of its facilities. Assist Embassy Air with passenger compliance with these rules.
- Be the onsite Point of Contact for passenger assistance and accountability and act as the liaison with Embassy Air, GSO, the Regional Security Office (RSO) and other Embassy offices as needed. Assist Passengers by ensuring they meet the shuttle arrival or departures on time in order for the passengers to successfully make their connecting flights.
- Work with Embassy Air and GSO remotely on issues related to passenger movements including providing information to update schedules, notifying necessary parties to changes in schedules, completing Embassy Air passenger profiles, and other related information as required.
- Perform additional duties which require working closely with Embassy Air Ground Site Manager include at a minimum :Waiting Areas (Arrivals Terminal) maintenance, Billeting (Bunkhouse and VIP Rooms) and other related miscellaneous duties.
- Be tasked to backfill for the General Service Administrator located at Bagram Airfield (BAF) whenever requested.
- Travel periodically with extended overnight stays as required while working on projects at the US Embassy and other locations in Afghanistan. Percentage of travel will vary significantly but on average is expected to be less than 20% of the total time. The individual will comply with all Camp Alvarado security, work-related, and residential rules and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A High school diploma or GED is required.
Must be able to perform physical labor including safely lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
Experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national work force is preferred.
Must have at least two years of general office experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of custodial duties, cleaning equipment and cleaning products.
Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
Must be able to type at least 40 WPM.
Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office programs to include Word and Excel.
- Must be friendly, customer service oriented and able to handle customer service issues in a calm, rational manner.
- Must have a valid US Driver’s License.
Current active Secret Clearance is required. US Citizenship is required to possess current Clearance.
Ability to work effectively around multi-cultural workforce is required.
Must have good organizational and communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
- Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
- Must be willing to travel periodically (with extended overnight stays) as required while working on projects at other locations in Afghanistan.
