Logistics Supervisor
PAE is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Logistics Supervisor on PAE’s contract with the U.S. Department of State (DoS) to provide security services to the three PAE held Afghan task orders currently under the Civilian Police Program (CIVPOL). The DoS Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is responsible for provision of a wide array of support to criminal justice sector development programs worldwide. Supervise the logistics staff and provides guidance to staff.
Duties:
- Adheres to the procedures, guidelines, regulations, policies, directives, plans and instructs established for the Logistics & Transportation Support Unit.
- Communicate effectively with subordinates, base staff personnel and headquarters personnel.
- Ensures all required reports and correspondence are submitted.
- Develops, coordinates and participates in the various base operations plans.
- Schedules, hosts, and/or attends meetings and working groups required.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans for the efficient operations of the Logistics group.
- Plan, manage, and deliver logistical support for a government contract in remote and austere conditions.
- Coordinate supply/procurement efforts (to include property control/inventory management).
- Oversee air and ground transport operations, the operation of other detachments and related operations in personnel deployment, procurement/supply operations, and inter-governmental relations.
- Perform other tasks as may be required.
Qualifications:
Specific Qualification Requirements:
- Experience on projects of similar size and scope in the last five years is also required. Regional experience as well as experience managing subcontractors in a threat environment is also desirable.
Two to five years logistics contingency support experience is required.
Two to five years of life cycle logistics experience.
Familiarity with Government supply chain management standards is required.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or managerial field
Clearance Requirement:Active Clearance or MRPT
Other requirements:Knowledge of various computer programs required (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Must be able to live and work at the assignment location which could be remote and uncomfortable
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
- This position is most likely a 3-8 month assignment
