About the Business Line Government
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced LISMX Technician to join the MOSC-A in Afghanistan. Provides Technical support to US Army Logistics Information System (LIS) assigned to AC FIRST. Delivers written, verbal, hands on assistance and troubleshooting on the LIS equipment. Offers quality research, analysis, reporting and recommendations in response to requests for review and comments on issues directly, or indirectly, related to logistics which is documented on OneSource through the work order process. Provides management and customers with basic logistics technology and information assistance that ensures effective and economical support for products, service, equipment and systems. Provides logistic service support sequences, time phasing, problems arising from location of operational areas, and other factors such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel. Provides regular reporting to senior management on logistics issues. Participates in the creation of procedures and communication material that documents logistic practices. Provides advice and guidance to operators in accordance with the End User Manual. Distributes new Software Packages, Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Incremental Change Packages (ICP) to LISMX customers. Maintains Historical Library of System Software and Change Packages. Restores equipment to operation by replacement of line replaceable unit. Troubleshoots automation equipment and systems to the degree required for isolation of malfunctions to specific hardware or software. Provides functional and technical support for, but not all necessarily inclusive of, the following LIS: SAMS-1E, SASM-2E, SAMS-IE, PBUSE, CSS-VSAT, and CAISI 2.0. Must understand the interface between the aforementioned systems and SARSS-1 interface. Immediately stops all unsafe actions. Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-3 years experience in CSSAMO or SASMO as skilled software, hardware LIS technician required.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance prior to start date.
Must have the ability to work on a computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, e-mail, and face-to-face.
Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees, including top, middle and supervisory levels of management.
Must be able to prioritize responsibilities in order to handle a demanding workload.
Must have strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze data.
Requires proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and related applications.
Must be able to lift 25 Lbs. continuously, 50 Lbs intermittently.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
US Army MOS 92A or 25B preferred.
Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO) Helpdesk experience highly preferred.
Functional knowledge of SAMS-E preferred.
