Howitzer Technical Inspector - AECOM - United States
AECOM has an exciting opportunity as a Howitzer Technical Inspector on the MOSC-A contract in Afghanistan. The Inspector performs initial inspections to determine the nature and extent of weapon system repairs required. Performs final inspections on weapon system after repairs have been completed. Disassembles and examines parts and assemblies as required and reassembles and adjusts components. Determines serviceability of parts and diagnoses and determines remedies for failures commonly encountered in the repair of weapon systems using a variety of diagnostic techniques and TMDE with little or no supervision. Assists with inventories. Enters/updates computerized information. Safely uses common hand tools and shop equipment effectively without assistance. May instruct other employees in proper repair maintenance procedures. Required to conduct and receive cross training as directed. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements 3-5 years experience in Howitzer Armament Systems at DS/GS level required on M119 105MM, M198 155MM and M777 155MM Howitzer. 1-3 years inspection experience required. US Army MOS 45k or 91k or USMC MOS 2131 required. Must have good knowledge of tools and repair equipment. Must have active secret clearance. Must complete QC Inspector PQS within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Overseas experience a plus.
