(AFG) Sr. Systems Administrator
INTECON is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator to provide integration, operation and maintenance support for unclassified and classified networks. The ideal candidate will have experience across multiple knowledge domains, hold a Secret security clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI, and be willing to travel in country via military air and land transport.
- Implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade systems hardware and software configurations
- Ensure total operational and functional compatibility with interfacing/interacting systems, subsystems, equipment, and computer applications. These systems include Windows Based Active Directory Domains, Video Surveillance Software, and Video over IP (Multicast and Unicast-based)
- You must be able to learn quickly, be a team player, and have good communication skills
- You must possess strong troubleshooting skills and have the discipline to work independently or unsupervised when necessary
- You must be comfortable working within a time critical, physically demanding environment as the subject matter expert within the given domain, but willing to support the team in a variety of tasks as required
- You will also support on the job training of additional O&M personnel, contractors and military personnel
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- You must have a minimum 6 years of working experience and 2 years extensive experience with Active Directory design and implementation, to include the building, implementation and troubleshooting of GPOs
- Experience building and deploying Windows based products such as Windows Server 2003 and XP in a domain environment
- Experience with Storage Area Networks (Fiber Channel and iSCSI)
- Experience with Windows services such as DHCP, DNS, and domain trust
- You must be familiar with DoD/DISA network security requirements, Information Assurance procedures, and guidelines
- Experience with integration and implementation of significant GUI-oriented software products
- Working knowledge of the OSI model and networking infrastructure requirements
- Must meet medical and physical requirements to be deployed overseas
- Must be willing to travel in country via military air and land transport
Desired Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Access
- Experience with Microsoft Media Services (Windows Media Server and Windows Media Encoder)
- MSCE 2003 Certification
- Experience with network security scanning and patch management tools such as Retina, Hercules, and WSUS
- Experience with IBM Blade Center and Blade Server
- Experience with Network Management tools such as SolarWinds
- Knowledge and experience of various video codec to include MPEG2, MPEG4, H.264 and VC1
- Working knowledge of cabling to include termination of Cat5/Cat6, single and multi-strand fiber and co-ax cable
- Experience working on US government computer systems and interfacing with military customers
Required Education
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Systems is required
