AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. Job Summary
AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the MOSC-A contract for a RTCH/CHE Lead Mechanic . The Lead Mechanic performs a full range of repair and service on RTCH/CHE equipment at the Organizational and Direct Support (DS) level of maintenance. Must have the working knowledge to service all hydraulic components to include axle assemblies and lift cylinders.
Ensures that safety and environmental policies and guidelines are followed without exception. Performs other duties as assigned.
Assists Supervisor with workload assignments.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
4-5 years experience as a RTCH/CHE mechanic required.
Must be familiar with Kalmar CHE equipment.
Must have the knowledge of a RTCH/CHE mechanic.
Must have the ability to analyze and interpret US Army Technical Manuals with relation to vehicle maintenance and repair.
Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Must possess a strong knowledge in trouble shooting techniques.
Must have a working knowledge of electrical test equipment, hydraulic test equipment and gauges.
Must be able to acquire a military driver’s license (OF 346).
Must have the following knowledge on RTCH/CHE equipment in trouble shooting Composite Can/Bus networks, top handler gear motors; brake and steering accumulators; parking brakes and bogie wheel assemblies; cab tracks and locking bars; top handler; pinion and ring gear.
Must be able to function with a basic level of the English language, both oral and written, through demonstrated proficiency, testing or both.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of demonstrated leadership preferred.
RTCH/CHE certification preferred.
US Army MOS 91B or equivalent preferred.
May be required to obtain a military drivers license.
