(AFG-KANDAHAR) Fuels Foreman


Job Summary

The Fuels Foreman is responsible for aircraft refueling, bulk and retail operations, and coordination of fuel receipts, issues, and testing at designated site.


Principal Accountabilities


  • Lead bulk, retail, and aircraft refueling operations at designated site

  • Provide daily safety briefings, perform fuel testing procedures, and ensure applicable safety and quality control policies and procedures are strictly followed by fuel operators and truck drivers

  • Ensure completion and documentation of preventive maintenance checks and services on all fuel equipment

  • Verify all documentation is filled out during refueling/defueling and submitted at end of shift to accounting office

  • Conduct daily inventory and record all equipment, tools, and other material usage

  • Communicate to shift replacement person the daily accomplishments and remaining tasks to be completed

  • Inspect and enforce that all employees have and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills


  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software

  • Operational knowledge of US military fuel accountability procedures and guidance such as FM 10-67-1, -2, and MIL-STD-3004C

  • Skill in fuel equipment maintenance, fuel sampling, and testing procedures to include level C, B2, Aqua Glo, and conductivity

Experience & Education


  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in fuel operations

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements/Working Environment


  • Ability to perform all duties including lifting up to sixty (60) pounds, climbing fuel tanks up to forty (40) feet high, and climbing on tank trucks

  • No allergies to petroleum products

  • Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, and rain) and work long hours

  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable

  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions

Travel


  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Must have ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance at proper level
