Explosive Ordinance Disposal Instructor – Fort Leonard Wood, MO

Charles F. Day and Associates is accepting applications for experienced Explosive Ordinance Disposal Instructor located at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.

Security Clearance : Must be a US citizen with a Secret or higher security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; applicant will be subject to a government security investigation

Travel Requirements: 4 trips per year

Job Summary: The Explosive Ordinance Disposal Instructor provides hands-on instruction for the Counter Explosive Hazards Planners (CEH-P) course on awareness and defeat of explosive hazards based on current threats. All work shall be accomplished according to the current TRADOC Regulation 350-70, Army Learning Policy and Systems, 6 December 2011. EOD Specialist will be able to effectively convey the material; maintain professional subject matter proficiency; thoroughly study and be well versed in the material, including the course outcomes, goals, and standards.

Job Duties:
Submit a student training report to the COR NLT five (5) working days after completion of each course.

Coordinate requirements for the course 10-20 days prior to course execution (during training meetings) with the COR to insure no overlap or conflicts between training offered by the Government and the training offered by the contractors.

Provide a written notification within 48 hours to the COR when the current in-service equipment, training aids or training areas are in need of repair or upgrade.

Advise the COR on issues that impact the coordination of training events NLT one day after discovery


Required Skills:
Possess the ability to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language

Shall have a U.S Army Instructor Training Course (ITC) certificate or one of the following instructor’s course certifications: United States Air Force (USAF) Basic Instructor Course (BIC) issued by USAF Air Education and Training Command (AETC); United States Marine Corps (USMC) Train the Trainer Course (T3) issued by the USMC Training and Education Command (TECOM); United States Navy (USN) Journeyman Instructor Training Course of Navy Instructor Training Course issued by the USN Navy Education and Training Command (NETC) or an equivalent civilian instructor’s course certification at the instructional level.

Civilian equivalents are based upon instructor certifications from an accredited institution or organization that validates three (3) years of instruction experience.

Required Experience/Qualifications

Must be a US citizen with a secret or higher security clearance or the ability to obtain one; applicant will be subject to a government security investigation.

Have one (1) year experience training Soldiers on doctrinal and non-doctrinal military counter explosive hazards operational procedures

Shall have a U.S Army Instructor Training Course (ITC) certificate

Experience with Army operations and planning and experience with tactical operational functions of units at battalion and below

Possess knowledge of current US Army operational environments and explosive hazards threats in those environments, by either deployment or service in Operations Iraqi Freedom (Iraq) or Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) or previous military service in a combat engineering or explosive ordnance disposal military occupational specialty (MOS).

Must be EOD (89D) or Air Force/USMC/Navy equivalent or Engineer Explosive Ordnance Clearing Agent (EEOCA) certified. Experience or qualification in these fields within the last two years.

Must be knowledgeable in Explosive Hazards to include (mines, Unexploded Ordnances (UXOs)and IEDs) and Counter Explosive Hazards equipment.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred

Special preference given to candidates who live in a Hub Zoned area.
