Job Description Drives trucks with a capacity typically between 3 and 30 tons including Line Haul, Tanker, HAZMAT, and HET vehicles as required for project objectives., including operations outside the wire. Operated vehicle in accordance with client requirements, established practices, standard commercial driving. regulations, and applicable material handling requirements.
Prepares all documentation and obtains appropriate approvals as required. Communicates status and issues with management as appropriate. May perform emergency road repairs and/or preventative maintenance checks on vehicles as needed.. Follows all applicable safety regulation and practices.
Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).
Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.

Basic Job Requirements – High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and three (3) years related experience.
Other Job Requirements – Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License. For drivers operating vehicles used to transport gasoline, jet fuel or other volatile material, a valid CDL with appropriate HAZMAT endorsement is required.

Preferred Qualifications – Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
