Job Title Food Services Warehouseman


Job Description • Under general supervision of Warehouse Foreman and/or Food Service Supervisor, performs the following duties: Custodial and housekeeping duties,


Receiving, storing, issuing, inventory management and security of dining facility rations and supplies Assures to all food storage equipment and facilities are properly maintained and the food storage areas are clean and organized


Assure that the highest sanitation/cleanliness standards are maintained inside coolers freezers, and warehouse Assure Temperature Checks are conducted three times daily and annotated on Temperature Log. Notify Food Service Supervisor of any equipment deficiencies immediately Assures adherence to Food Production/Service/Sanitation Standards.


• Under direct supervision of Warehouse Foreman and/or Food Service Supervisor, performs a variety of tasks concerned with receiving, storing, issuing, inventory management such as, but not limited to: Check the truck manifest to ensure all items are delivered and in satisfactory condition. Check that the truck paperwork and seals match. Check the internal temperature meter upon opening the reefer trailer to ensure the load was at the prescribed temperature during transport truck contents are not at the proper temperature, then inform the military to verify/advise on disposition of the load. Take pictures of anything that will be discarded and have military veterinarian annotate and sign on delivery note. Remove items to be surveyed from manifest.

Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh, dangerous working and living conditions, which may include carrying and wearing up to 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, all employees will be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).


Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.

Basic Job Requirements A minimum of 1 year directly related experience is required; high school diploma or GED preferred.


Other Job Requirements Workers should be able to: Follow specific directions; read and interpret product labels, perform a variety of duties which may often change; work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure; evaluate information using measurable standards. Physically, workers must be able to: Stand or walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction). Workers must be able to work effectively in assigned areas/conditions.


Preferred Qualifications Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
