Job Description Under general supervision by Senior Food Service Specialist and/or Food Service Supervisor employees will, performs the following duties: Ability to
follow directions and work together as a team player; Custodial and housekeeping duties, Assist Food Service Specialist in food preparation, Assist Food Service Specialist in hot and cold food production, Assist Food Service Specialist with ordering supplies and maintaining all reports as required, Complies with recipe requirements and instructions, Assures adherence to Food Production/Service/Sanitation Standards. Using excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, Assist in the preparation nutritious meals in accordance with Army standards, meal plans and recipes, Sets-up serving lines and self-service items, serve food, garnish food items and apply food protection measures,
Prepare and bake simple pastries and rolls.
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh, dangerous working and living conditions, which may include carrying and wearing required personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the
contract, employees will be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).
Must possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job function
Basic Job Requirements High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and one (1) year related experience.
