NCI: As one of the Fielder/Warehouseman ( Fielding Logistics Specialist ) on the Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) team, you will support warehousing and fielding operations at PEO Soldier, Project Manager Soldier Protection and Individual Equipment (PM SPIE) in Southwest Asia ( Camp Buehring, Kuwait ). You will report to the OCONUS PM Soldier Protection and Individual Equipment Fielding Site Lead (Camp Buehring, Kuwait). It will involve planning, coordinating, and supporting logistical, fielding and New Equipment Training (NET) functions for the Office of the Project Manager. In assuming this position, you will a critical contributor to meeting NCI’s mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.
Highlights of Responsibilities: Provide safety, receiving, issuing, shipping, packing, stocking, sizing, inventory control, handheld barcode scanning, property book knowledge, fielding equipment and New Equipment Training (NET) on various types of Soldier Clothing and Equipment.
Operate a pallet jack.
Act independently in the absence of leadership and provide oral and written communication to the highest level.
Lift 50 lbs. of equipment or property.
Travel when necessary to other locations within Southwest Asia if needed.
Ability to work as part of a larger team and be able to take direction from government/customer counterpart.
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and resolve problems as they occur.
Requirements: Security Clearance: DoD SECRET (or ability to obtain a clearance).
Must be able to operate a pallet jack and gain forklift license.
Ability to travel up to 50% when necessary to other locations within Southwest Asia to include, Iraq, Afghanistan and any other countries Soldiers may deploy.
Education and Experience required: High School/GED AND 20 years
Associates Degree AND 16 years
Bachelor in non-Directly related field AND 15 years
Bachelor in Directly related field AND 10 years
3 years related experience in logistics support including material goods, personnel, transportation, wholesale and retail operations, maintenance and repair of systems throughout life cycle, development of documentation and test plans, ergonomic/human performance analysis, feasibility analysis, logistics planning, requirements determination, policy standards/procedures development, long term reliability and maintainability, training development and execution, outsourcing, issuance and fielding of equipment, accountability, and documentation analysis
Computer knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Must be able to lift 50 pounds; Position is physically demanding, requiring lifting, kneeling, bending and pulling in extreme temperatures.
Knowledge of Army Class II, general property book accountability processes, and the Army MTOE structure.
Successfully complete or have completed the CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) course.
Must be willing to comply with Kuwait local laws and customs.
Must have a Valid current US Passport.
