All Source Intelligence Analyst - Firebird Analytical Solutions & Technologies - Springfield, VA

General Position Description:
Firebird AST is seeking FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as All Source Targeting Analysts at the Mid, Senior, and Expert levels to support a USSOCOM contract. Employees on this contract will be responsible for providing intelligence analysis and all aspects of information gathering, research, threat assessments, client development and predictive analysis as part of a Special Operations Forces (SOF) analytical team. Employees must maintain global readiness and be available to deploy on a no-notice basis to hazardous duty/combat zones. Deployments may be to a theater of operations with permissive, uncertain, or hostile environments while living in austere conditions for extended periods.

Education, Skills, & Clearance Requirements per Level

Mid- Level Candidates MUST :

• Possess a CURRENT/ACTIVE TOP SECRET Security Clearance, with SCI access or eligibility to be read on to SCI immediately


• Possess SIX (6) or more years of intelligence analytical experience with DoD or equivalent Government agencies and have experience supporting SOF operations. – A Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Senior-Level Candidates MUST :

• Possess a CURRENT/ACTIVE TOP SECRET Security Clearance, with SCI access or eligibility to be read on to SCI immediately


• Possess EIGHT (8) or more years of intelligence analytical experience with DoD or equivalent Government agencies and have experience supporting SOF operations. – A Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Expert-Level Candidates MUST :

• Possess a CURRENT/ACTIVE TOP SECRET Security Clearance, with SCI access or eligibility to be read on to SCI immediately


• Possess TEN (10) or more years of intelligence analytical experience with DoD or equivalent Government agencies (five of which must be at the operation level in of support SOF operations) – A Bachelors or Master’s Degree preferred but not required.

Requirements & Responsibilities for the All Source Targeting Analyst (ALL LEVELS):

• Must possess the capability of fusing intelligence information from multiple disciplines, to include Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Communications Intelligence (COMINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), and Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT).


• Responsible for providing intelligence analysis and all aspects of information gathering, research, threat assessments and predictive analysis as part of an analytical team.


• Must possess advanced targeting skills and a comprehensive understanding of the operational cycle as well as the data, tools, and techniques used for each phase of targeting.


• Must have recent experience in Afghanistan, Iraq or other hostile fire zone supporting SOF operations.


• Must have firsthand experience targeting networks or individuals within networks and identifying vulnerabilities for exploitation and have a thorough understanding of the F3EA targeting methodology.


• Must be proficient in utilizing basic computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development.


• Must possess strong briefing skills and be capable of effectively directing subordinate analysts in the accomplishment of intelligence products and assessments.


• Must have acute knowledge of SOF and/or counterterrorism intelligence experience.


• Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills and be highly proficient in all‐source analytical support tools.


• Must possess or have the ability to possess immediately, a valid U.S. passport.


• Must be able to pass all pre-deployment requirements including a medical, dental, psychological, background, credit, and security screens as deemed necessary to be considered deployable.


• Must be able to obtain all required immunizations deemed necessary by the contract.


• Must possess excellent research and writing skills, including outstanding attention to detail.


• Must have an extremely strong understanding of all-source data sources and analysis.


• Must have a high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and Windows operating environments.

Travel and Deployment:
This position may require deployment for periods of up to 179 days, to OCONUS locations, including the CENTCOM Theater of Operations. Successful applicants must be willing to deploy to live and work in a potentially hostile environment designated by the Government as an Imminent Danger Zone or Hostile Fire Zone.
