(AFG) Pilot 5 (Lead Pilot/Sr. Pilot III)- JM BD OCONUS

Duties

Operate aircraft in accordance with FAA, company and customer directives while operating and wearing Night Vision Goggle (NVG) / night vision enhanced devices from remote locations. Coordinates with maintenance personnel to analyze and correct aircraft discrepancies, lead operator and end-user to determine operational requirements.

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated skills in balancing the administrative, tactical and technical aspects of the position across all aircraft platforms. The incumbent must be a qualified Instructor Pilot on all assigned platforms. The lead position provides oversight and guidance to Instructor Pilots, delegating and empowering direct reports to achieve mission goals. The lead is expected to be dedicated to continuous improvement and must have the ability to motivate and ensure accountability in the workforce.

  Conduct periodic reviews of crewmember training records.

  Determine the task(s) to be trained as part of the crewmember’s training plan.

  Monitor crew members respectively for crew member fatigue and crew rest cycles.

  This incumbent will conduct periodic performance review of Instructors and line pilots and supervise conduct of remedial training and when necessary, recommend and conduct disciplinary action. Candidates may be assigned other duties, as directed by management.

  
  

  General Requirements

  At least 21 years of age

  
  


• Current US passport


• US Citizenship


• Valid State Drivers License


• Read, write, speak and understand English

  Must not have legal access to weapons restricted

  
  

  FAA Requirements

  
  


• 
  

  FAA Instrument Airplane Certificate

  
  


• FAA Airplane multi-engine land certificate


• 
  

  FAA Second Class Medical certificate (current)

  Minimum of 3,000 hours of total documented flight time

  Minimum of 1500 hours of fixed wing multi-engine time

  
  

  Preferred Experience

  
  

  Prior manned ISR related duties, forward air control (FAC), FAC (A), JTAC experience, airborne sensor experience, fixed or rotary wing direct air support experience

  
  

  Preferred Requirements

  
  

  3 , 000 hours Pilot-in-Command
  Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
  
  Rating held for the last three (3) consecutive years

  
  

  Licensing, Certification Requirements

  
  

  BE300 type rating
  
  Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) rating (current)
  
  Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) I & II (current)
  
  FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit

  
  

Education

BS & 5 years experience or equivalent combination and experience

Other

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOD Secret Security Clearance

Pre-employment drug test and a medical exam administered by L-3

Criminal history records check and a background check will be performed

Must be able to qualify with M-9 and M-4, or equivalent
