(AFG) Engineer - QA 2 (QA Inspector)- OCONUS
Implements program quality plans, programs, and procedures. Ensures that maintenance actions and procedures conform to established manufacturer, company and FAA regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality and safety discrepancies related to aircraft maintenance action processes. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are meant. Recommends corrective actions, disposition and modifications.
Responsible for the maintenance Quality, Safety and Hazardous Material, Analysis, Training, Functional Check Flight, Publications/Technical Orders, and Environmental Protection Programs. Performs inspections and critical task inspections.
Duties:
Coordinates approval and ensures currency of Maintenance and Work Instructions, and quality procedures.
Develops inspection, audit, and monitoring schedules to determine the condition of assigned equipment and proficiency of maintenance personnel.
Provides timely Quality Maintenance Evaluation Program reports
Implements all aspects of the Safety Program
Provides safety awareness education
Ensures Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance.
Implements the Installation HAZMAT Program to comply with Environmental Protection Programs
Responsible for Deficiency and Maintenance Analysis and Data Base Management.
Provides summaries, analyses, and other data necessary for the Contract Site Manager to determine the quality of the overall maintenance effort.
Recommends changes to processes and programs for the Program Quality Assurance Managers approval.
Ensure Maintenance/Work Instructions and Quality Procedures reflect most current policy and procedures.
Assists in aircraft/equipment movement and flight line foreign object prevention walks.
Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times.
Assist with aircraft servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control and inspections
Performs other duties and supervisory functions as assigned.
Maintain strict compliance with company and government Communications Security (COMSEC) policies and procedures.

Must have minimum of five (5) years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience as practicing FAA A&P Mechanic – preference on same or similar airframe supported.
Must have a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
Must have a current FAA Inspector Authorization (IA)
One or more years in Aircraft Quality Control/Assurance function in aircraft maintenance.
Supervisory / management experience preferred.
Two (2) years of Beech King Air 300, C-12, 1900 or similar airframe experience preferred.
Previous or recent work experience in performance of work described.
Must have in depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Must have a current civilian drivers license, and be able to obtain and maintain a government flight line drivers license
Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret government security clearance
Must have in-depth working knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations
Must have in depth working knowledge of aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications-read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications
Must have working knowledge (input and extract data) of computers
Must be willing and able to work with job related hazardous materials
Must be willing and able to conduct specialty on the job training
Must have a working knowledge and experience in use of computer systems and software to be used in the job.
Proficiency in the use of MS Office software.
Must be able to work day shift, night shift and weekend duty and travel as part of maintenance recovery team as required
CONUS and OCONUS deployments may be required
Must be able to work in the established work/living environment, work 7 days a week, 12 hour shifts as assigned to support mission requirements.

Work Environment:
The diversity of working conditions range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.
