Title: Ethics and Compliance Specialist


Department: Ethics and Compliance


Reports to: SVP, General Counsel & Secretary


The Ethics and Compliance Specialist will manage the reporting of Code of Conduct issues, investigations, training and tracking the completion of ethics matters. This position will further provide the necessary support to prepare for meetings of the Ethics and Compliance Committee. This position must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.


Major Duties & Responsibilities


Liaise with Headquarters& Operations to obtain information necessary for due diligence, communicate due diligence findings, and follow up on red flags.


Perform risk assessments and continue development of ethics and compliance policies and procedures throughout the Company.


Track changes in key compliance and ethics requirements.


Perform data analysis to support reporting and benchmarking.


Coordinate with Internal Audit to perform routine testing of Company operations in an effort to ensure that due diligence policies and procedures are being followed.


Ensure that business units receive training on compliance and ethics policies and procedures.


Strong research skills, advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with web-based research systems and databases.


Sound business judgment and discretion in reviewing sensitive issues, and the flexibility to change courses and solve problems swiftly.


Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under time and resource constraints.


Strong relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to listen effectively, communicate clearly, and influence others without direct authority.


Exceptionally high attention to detail.


Knowledge of the foundational elements of a corporate compliance program, anti-corruption laws.


Draft and Prepare Code of Conduct / Business Ethics reports includingn quarterly report for the Ethics and Compliance Committee.


Calculate training statistic percentage completion rates.


Preparation and formatting of member reports.


Manage hotline and Navex Global system.


Other duties as assigned.


Job Skills & Abilities


Strong computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products – specifically Excel and Outlook


Broad understanding of corporate ethics programs


Excellent verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of and proficiency in the use of systems, technology and/or case management.


Diplomatic and highly organized


Ability to multi-task


Good math skills


Functions effectively as part of a team


Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times


Excellent time management and organizational skills


Strong administrative experience


Education and/or Experience


Bachelor’s degree or higher


Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compliance


CCEP certification or equivalent training


Experience as a construction cost or in a construction corporate legal department is a plus
