ACQUISITION MANAGER - VERSAR - Virginia

Responsibilities:

Versar will provide acquisition capability with knowledge of DoD contracting and acquisition/procurement processes in order to train Afghan Government personnel on how to develop acquisition packages and to assist in developing standardized procedures for acquisition and procurement on engineering projects. The acquisition manager shall oversee an LN team that will interact directly with the Afghan government.

• US Citizen.

• 5 years US Government acquisition experience.

• Possesses a secret security clearance or is able to obtain an interim clearance before deploying.

• Willing to work in Afghanistan for 1 year + on secure life support areas and on US Military Camps.

• Will oversee a 15 person Afghan support staff .

• Determined fit for duty through US Air Force Deployment Center.

• Develop acquisition packages to be released for contracts.

• Train ANA/ANP personnel on how develop acquisition packages.

• Track how the ANA/ANP spend Donor Country money.

• Develop AFI/DoD-like written acquisition processes for the ANA and ANP to follow.
