Hawthorne Nevada is a one mile square town with a population of about 3,500 people. The nearest major shopping facility (Walmart) is about 75 miles away in Fallon Nevada. The closest major city (Reno NV) is located about 2.5 driving hours away. Las Vegas Nevada is located about 5 driving hours away. Our climate compares to that of Afghanistan (dry desert) but the temperatures are not as extreme.

There are many opportunities in our area for outdoor recreation. Yosemite National Park, Mammoth Lakes Ski Resort, and many back-roads for hiking, biking, fishing, ATV/UTV travel are a few of the amenities right out our back door. Hawthorne is a patriotic and peaceful town.

Responsibilities:
Develop Standing Operating Procedures for demilitarization, renovation, or update of ammunition, both explosive loaded and inert, through various production stages. Determine the process from technical documents, specifications, and drawings within parameters set by available facilities and equipment.Ensure SOPs, Test Plans, IOP’s and Material Safety Data Sheets are provided per schedule and adhered to throughout the processes.

Report the financial performances (planned revenue vs. Cost of sales) and control work requirements and use of facilities for those programs on an as needed basis. Conduct production studies to include utilization of man-hours, materials, supplies, and facilities on an hourly basis.

Monitor resource allocation to insure the availability of standing operating procedures, specifications, facilities, components, materials, tools, equipment, and personnel. Monitor the performance of quality control and safety requirements prior to start of each scheduled operation.

Perform analytical studies. Forecast production trends. Conduct production studies to include utilization of man-hours, materials, supplies, and facilities on an hourly basis. Maintain production data to improve future estimating. Analyze actual expenditures against estimated budget and maintain current financial status for funded authorizations.

Prepare detailed Contract Pricing Proposals involving major projects involving LAP, production, renovation, or demil projects. Initiate job orders, coordinate support services, and follow up on all scheduled work from the planning phase to final acceptance. Insure availability and timely release of materials for a scheduled job.


Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma


EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years production planning experience requiring analytical assignments, techniques, fact gathering, and evaluation.
