Position Summary
This is a temporary position to last until a regular, full-time applicant is found. Prepares, negotiates and executes contractual documents and correspondence with customer. Works with the team to coordinates transactional aspects of delivery of products and services. Communicates and interfaces with customers to complete business transactions. Provides independent assessment of contracts and works with stakeholders to lean out process improvements. Prepares, coordinates and validates contractual business documents and related information. Works with the team to develop procedures to establish compliant processes in support of contractual activities. Establishes systems and tools to ensure data integrity and access security. Coordinates with and provides recommendations to system providers and stakeholders to identify and resolve business system problems and improvements.
Essential Functions:
- Receives and reviews business offers from multiple functions. Executes contractual processes, including the analysis, extraction and recording of data into business systems. Generates proposals and other contractual agreements for presentation or review by the regions. Makes recommendations on contractual issues with internal/external stakeholders. Works with other organizations and external customers in support of the contract process. Prepares, negotiates and executes contractual documents and correspondence with customer. Provides information and data for audit and litigation requirements.
- Reviews and analyzes customer’s correspondence and contract documents to determine appropriate distribution of such documentation. Distributes documents to appropriate functional organizations for disposition. Records and tracks contractual commitments and obligations. Provides independent assessment of contracts and works with stakeholders to lean out process improvements. Prepares, coordinates and validates contractual business documents and related information. Coordinates with internal organization and stakeholders to complete business transaction.
- Establishes and administers systems and tools to ensure data integrity and access security. Meets and coordinates with IT and contract staff to identify and resolve computing system problems and improvements. Conducts research in support of business case development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Typical Education and/or Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Direct experience working in the defense (DoD) industry with familiarity with CAS, TINA and FAR contracts.
- Experience with fast paced streamlined contracting processes preferred.
- Experience submitting and negotiating new cost/price proposals including terms and conditions.
- Experience with IDIQ task orders a plus.
