Maintenance Materials Specialist I
Job Description Provides specialized materials support services within the Maintenance functionalarea. Reviews project work schedules, inventory levels and related information and determines materialrequirements to complete assigned maintenance projects and maintain inventory levels of required parts, tools and supplies. Requisitions material and establishes sequentialdelivery dates, according to priorities and material availability.Examines material delivered to verify conformance to specifications. Arranges transfer of materials to meet schedules. Computes amount of material required to complete jobs.
Compiles and maintains manualor computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process reports,and status and location of materials. May provide guidance to less experienced personnel. May move or transport materials. May arrange for repair and assembly of materials and/or parts. Additional duties
as assigned.
Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh, dangerous working and living conditions, which may include carrying and wearing required personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the
contract, employees will be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).
Basic Job Requirements High school Diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and three (3) years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
