Ammunitions Supervisor

Job Description Manages and coordinates the implementation of the following activities: Accountability, receipt, storage, issue, inspection, maintenance and demilitarization of conventional ammunition, components, residue and inert training ammunition devices. Investigates and reports conventional ammunition accidents, failures, or malfunctions. Supervises and manages the Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS) at all levels. Prepares and/or reviews ammunition storage waivers. Manages, prepares, reviews and /or implements the following operational plans in ammunition storage areas; Firefighting, emergency destruction, physical security, explosive safety and transportation flow. Performs other company grade officer level duties as required/essential to the unit mission. The Ammunition Warrant Officer/Senior Enlisted is a self-aware and adaptive technical expert, combat leader, trainer and advisor.


Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 25 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand) or have a translator available.

Basic Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and 7 years directly related experience is required.

Other Job Requirements In depth knowledge of hazardous material and hazardous material handling to ensure the safe receipt, placement, storage, and movement of ammunitions, explosives, chemicals, or radioactive materials in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and leadership skills required. Basic computer literacy and skills in MS Office Suite required. Valid Class C Commercial driver’s license w/HAZMAT endorsement is required. Ammunition certified FORSCOM Reg 350-10.

Preferred Qualifications Prior service as a Senior Enlisted member with the MOS of (89A) & (89B) and/or Chief Warrant Officer (890A), is a plus.
