Air Operations Coordinator
Job Description Under general supervision supports the Air Operations team within assigned area of responsibility.
Performs a variety of functional tasks which are necessary to achieve operational objectives. Reviews
and compiles operational data or information; prepares and distributes travel reports; maintains
proprietary data as necessary for analysis, planning, and reporting purposes. Confers with
manager/supervisors and site personnel to obtain data required for planning activities, such as
pending employee travel requests, cargo movements, status of work in progress, and problems
encountered. Assigned daily tasks regarding the movement of personnel inter-theater as well as intratheater.
Performs numerous tasks that involve, but are not limited to, project operational strategies
and activities. Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of services to
management.
Manage the Cargo section of a Rotary Wing terminal.
Receive all outbound/inbound cargo and inspect cargo for proper labeling and load out.
Maintain accountability of all cargo while in terminal possession.
Supervise information flow in accordance with the NISPOM.
Ensure all personnel utilitze proper PPE at all times.
Supervise the operation of all MHE in accordance with safety guidelines.
Maintain cargo tracking system.
Coordinate with marshaling and manifest section.
May supervise a team of subcontractor and/or labor broker personnel, in accordance with the “General
Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh, dangerous working
and living conditions, which may include carrying and wearing up to 40 pounds of personal protective
equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security
requirements in the contract, all employees will be literate in English (read, write, speak and
understand).
Basic Job Requirements High school diploma / GED equivalent is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience, and 5 years directly related experience is required.
Other Job Requirements SECRET Clearance
Must have operated within a Flight Operations Section, Ramp Operations-Services, or and Airfield Operations Section-Services and be familiar with operating around military aircraft.
Must be able to operate applicable MHE during cold and hot loads of rotary wing aircraft.
Familiar with military protocol and have ability to interface and assist military customer.
Preferred Qualifications Former Military Operations/Flight Operations/Ramp Operations/Airfield Operations NCO in the grade of E6-E8.
