About the Position:This position will be filled on a temporary basis not to exceed 13 months with possibility of extensions.
This position will be filled at the GS-09 level.

Duties
As an Administrative Officer you will be responsible for the following:
Evaluate the effectiveness of administrative policies, procedures and regulations and seek ways to improve operations.
Monitor status of civilian human resource matters to include, awards, leave, evaluations, personnel accountability, and in and out processing.
- Request and process personnel actions.
- Schedule meetings, screen incoming telephone calls, and track and monitor suspense.
- Manage the office correspondence, records, mail and distribution, publications, physical and security.
- Analyze financial or budgetary information related to assigned areas of the organizations financial program.
- Conduct studies on the utilization or property to make recommendations based off the data.
These duties are described at the full performance level GS-09.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: providing human resource guidance, monitoring personnel accountability, preparing reports, utilization of computer skills and arranging and scheduling appointments; strong knowledge and understanding of administrative fields, types of equipment that is necessary and needed by the organization; management analysis techniques; and the types of problems organizational personnel encounter/resolve.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Education substitution for Specialized Experience for the GS-09: Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or at least two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university that is directly related to the work of the position (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Combination of education and experience: If you have some specialized experience, but less than one year, and have more than one year of graduate level education, but less than two years of graduate-level education you can combined experience with education. Determine your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; then add the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100% to qualify. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

- Skill in Administrative Support Duties
