On-Site Manager; Afghanistan - Valbin Corporation - Bethesda, MD

Based in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area, Valbin has an established and on-going partnership with the US Government through its GSA Schedule and the Valbin Mission Readiness Support Center.

We are looking for on-site managers to join our dynamic team and grow with the company. this is a contingency announcement pending contract award. Individuals are being sought to establish a pool of ready managers capable of deploying upon task order award to Afghanistan.

Location: Afghanistan 100%

Position Summary: On-site managers are responsible for all aspects of the care and feeding of assigned linguists throughout multiple customer sites and military bases across Afghanistan. On-site managers serve as an intermediate management level between company senior in-theater management and hundreds of assigned Local National/Third Country National, CAT I-III linguists.

Main Responsibilities

• must have the knowledge, maturity and experience to work in a high-pressure, contingency-area deployment type environment with senior military officials.


• Responsible for all aspects of the feed and caring of CAT I,II,III linguists assigned.


• Brings un-resolved linguist problems, issues, concerns to the company Task Order Management team or ACOR’s attention.


• Monitor morale of assigned linguists supporting the OCONUS military customer in AFG


• Bring any concerns with dissatisfied linguists to the government customer to ensure that the level of linguist’s dissatisfaction does not result in harm to

military personnel and/or operations.

• Ensure linguists are properly taken care of and are satisfied with the support they are receiving from their on-site manager in resolving personnel problems, issues, and concerns.

Required Skills

• DoD Secret Clearance Required/Top Secret Preferred


• Minimum 2 years management experience


• Minimum 1 year military operational experience


• High School Diploma

Preferred Skills

• Top Secret clearance with CI POLY


• INSCOM CI-Focus security vetting within last 2 years


• Management experience on linguist contract


• Military operational deployment in AFG
