Service Desk Technician I (Active TS w/ SCI Eligibility) - Five Rivers - Fort Belvoir, VA

Five Rivers Services, LLC (FRS)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide basic application software and/or hardware support to variety of customers worldwide and record these situations in Remedy ITSM with classification and prioritization and search for “workarounds”.


Provide Tier I support to customers to include localized troubleshooting of reported computer hardware, software, user environment and operating system issues.


Escalate incidents to Tier II support as appropriate, perform Configuration Management Database (CMDB) verification, update and report to the TTM, Management, Process Managers and customers on performance. Track tasking orders, operational orders, accreditation status, inspection schedules, and other time sensitive information.


Monitor central processing units (CPU), disk and memory resources, security and firewall, NAS and SAN, Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) and Fiber Channel, Cisco and Brocade routers, firewalls and switches, and internet protocol (IP) services. Provide a Critical Incident Report (CIR) for any degradation of these services to appropriate personnel IAW established Government procedures and timelines.


Gather information and track outages until connectivity is restored and provide updates until systems are fully restored. Receive and prepare electronic notifications to the users on all scheduled network outages.


Qualifications


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
DoD 8570 Information Assurance IAT II certified


DoD 8570 computing environment certification or training certificate for the operating system(s) and/or security related tools/devices they support


3+ years’ experience in enterprise service desk support


3+ years’ experience in IA technology or a related information systems security area


US citizen


Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge of MS Active Directory


Working knowledge of MS Office products


Working knowledge of Remedy ITSM


Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library V3 (ITIL)


Working experience with DoD Civilians, military and contractors


Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work 8 hours on a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays in support of a 24x7x365 mission; may travel to attend Government required training or in support of mission; considerable stress may occur at times; physical demands include those associated with maintaining government data centers.
