Senior Software Engineer
Overview:Responsibilities:Functions in an operational role during full-scale aerial target missions and simulations Gulf Range Drone Control Systems. Supports post mission tasks to include extracting selective mission data, copying mission data, and performing data analysis using fourth generation programming tools such as MATLAB. Monitors and evaluates computer system performance and makes backup copies of system software programs. Analyzes simple to moderate problems concerning computer software and develops solutions. After approval of high-level/engineer writes, or modifies existing software programs to implement solutions. Debugs application software errors, as required. Performs application software testing and reviews associated documentation. Assists in hardware troubleshooting and provides feedback. Will be required to travel to remote locations for extended periods of time in support of operations. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications:Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Work experience in related real time distributed processes system, a plus. Knowledge/experience in programming languages such as; C, C++, FORTRAN, Assembler and JAVA. Experience with UNIX/LINUX Operating Systems and Microsoft Windows System Administration. Familiar with Graphic User Interface Development Tools . Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Word, Power Point and Outlook. Candidate must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance of Secret.
