This position is located in Kabul, Afghanistan. PC-12 Maintenance Manager position is responsible to the senior Maintenance program manager to establish, direct, and manage PC-12 aviation maintenance to support the safe and efficient maintenance of the Afghan Air Force (AAF) and Special Mission Wing SMW fixed wing aircraft, primary CONUS reach-back support, coordinating activities from multiple sites with all Project Management Office (PMO) support functions Overall maintenance management will include responsibilities of deployed management staff and quality assurance, production control, tool room, back shops, Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE), Aircraft Battle Damage Repair (ABDR), technical publications and documents, configuration management, and maintenance support at numerous locations Analyzes current maintenance problems and future maintenance requirements to identify needs and develop a rotary wing and fixed wing maintenance programs that are organized and operated in a fashion that resembles the US Army Aviation Maintenance model found in FM 3.04-500, and specifically includes Quality Control and a Production Control functions for AAF and SMW operations Produces products and processes which support overall program and maintenance objectives to include applicable instructions on maintenance, safety, standardization and maintenance management Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, quality assurance, and project management policies and regulatory compliance. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering management, mathematics, science, business, or logistics from a college or university accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education At a minimum should have additional course work or participation in applicable seminars/symposia Six (6) years of relevant work experience in systems development and engineering in communications, command and control, aviation, electronics, data and information processing or modeling and simulation Background in a Department of Defense development and/or acquisition environment Experience should demonstrate the ability to meet the duties described above Secret security clearance is required Must be knowledgeable and conversant in military flight operations, safety, standardization, and supervision instructions, student management, and maintenance A BS and/or MS (BS/MS) in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, Logistics or related scientific/technical discipline is required. Must have eight (8) years of progressive experience in acquisition and sustainment of military systems. Must have experience and skills necessary to perform the following tasks: 1) manage substantial design, development, integration test and documentation operations for military systems/subsystems; 2) organize, direct, and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities; 3) interface with government and contractor personnel; 4) formulate and review project feasibility studies, determine costs, ensure conformance to work standards; 5) interpret organizational policies, purposes, and goals for subordinates; 6) manage logistics support for complex military systems; 7) manage systems safety studies; and 8) identify, acquire and utilize required resources to achieve project objectives.

Experience with US Army Aviation Maintenance operations, safety, standardization, and supervision FAA A&P certification Military deployment experience US DoD aviation maintenance, flight operations, and command experience Deployment experience to the CENTCOM region Current or previous experience in providing all services, supplies, materials, equipment and personnel necessary to perform the tasks in providing CLS for aircraft maintained by the MOD-AAF, including the PC-12 fixed wing aircraft Experience in providing Contractor Logistics Support for PC-12, or other non-standard fixed wing aircraft simulators Must have experience in preparation of technical manuals A thorough working knowledge of TO military specifications is essential Technical writing and/or editing experience Must have OEM certification to perform military aircraft maintenance
