Position: EOD Master Instructor SME
Location: Little Creek, VA
Clearance: Secret


Contingent upon award of Contract


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide Counter–Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) instruction in a dynamic field where technical materiel and tactical TTPs are constantly evolving to meet real world threats and scenarios

  • Plan, organize, manage and conduct effective classroom, laboratory and practical instruction in support of C-IED and WMD TTPs, Special Operations Forces Unit Tactics, techniques and procedures

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for assigned divisions in establishing, facilitating and evaluating C-IED and WMD classroom training and practical exercises

  • Provide experienced based guidance and oversight of resources; role players, equipment, training aids, etc.

  • Support to “multi-divisional” complex training schedules to accommodate customer training needs

  • Support in developing material solution recommendations to EOD Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP)

  • Effective communicator in the C-IED, WMD and USN EOD support to Joint Special Operations Forces mission areas

  • Proctor U.S. Navy EOD SOF ULT National Laboratory blocks of instruction and ensure that U.S. National Laboratory personnel are providing the appropriate course materiel required to meet U.S. Navy EOD SOF RESPORG Higher Headquarters JMETLs and U.S. Army SOF Company mission objectives

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS


  • Master EOD Technician (NEC 5337) designation or service equivalent

  • Master Training Specialist (MTS) designation or equivalent

  • One deployment to Afghanistan ISO Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and/or Iraq ISO Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)

  • Three years of experience supporting Special Operations Force missions (May be concurrent with JSOC experience)

  • Five years experience supporting the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC)

  • Demonstrated expertise in Special Operations Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP)

  • Demonstrated expertise in Specialized EOD tools/equipment and in-extremis EOD procedural protocol

  • Demonstrated expertise in Category “A” EOD situations and Advanced Access and Disablement techniques * Demonstrated expertise in CT operations, IED electronics, HME, SSE, Hostage rescue/recovery tactics and procedure

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS


  • Graduate of U.S. Naval School EOD and awarded the Master EOD Badge
