Description


Mission Equipment Technician


The Mission Equipment Technician will provide quick response to customer requests for product support. The tasks performed will include but not limited to, system and device troubleshooting and problem evaluation as well as performing and/or supporting the necessary rework or repairs required to return the equipment to functional status. The Mission Equipment Technician will also be instrumental in preparing reports and will work in conjunction with the Configuration Manager to update and track the configuration status of the fielded units.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide technical support to MAG customers in order to give quick problem assessment and correction/repair for deployed Mission Systems.

  • Responsible for documenting and implementing hardware, software, and/or configuration changes to Mission Equipment.

  • Deployment to remote locations worldwide.


  • Other duties in support of mission completion as assigned by supervisory personnel

    COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Responsible for adherence to all MAG Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external).

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




  • Minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, as defined by MAG Policy.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:




  • AA Degree in related discipline

    PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:




  • A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience is required.




  • Experience performing maintenance on Full Motion Video/IR system and sub components.

    ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Must be experienced with lab equipment including but not limited to; DVM, Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Power Meters, Frequency Synthesizers, Network and Spectrum Analyzers.



  • Must be capable of electro-mechanical assembly and be capable of meeting documented equipment standards.

  • The technician must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal, for report preparation and customer interface.


  • Technician must be able to perform assigned tasks related to this level of expertise with minimal supervision.

    WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE




  • Ability to obtain/maintain at a minimum a Secret level clearance with the possibility of a TS/SCI.
